    Publisher Terms & Conditions

Fair, transparent partnership — your trust, our commitment.

    Version: 2.0Last Updated: 14 October 2026

    1. Introduction

This document sets the terms for publishers ("you", "your") participating in HalalSpark's ad network.

Provided by HalalSpark Ltd, registered in England & Wales (Company No. 16533046).

    Address: 83 Ruskin Avenue, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 5HB, UK

    Contact: [email protected]

    Support: [email protected]

These terms complement the General Terms & Conditions and form a binding agreement upon registration.

    2. Website Standards

HalalSpark tells advertisers that their ads reach Muslims by design. That is only true if every website on the network is made for a Muslim audience and is worth an advertiser's money. So we are selective. A website must meet all three of the standards below to join, and to stay.

2.1 Made for a Muslim audience

    • The website's main purpose must be to serve Muslims. For example: Islamic knowledge, Quran and Arabic learning, Muslim news and community, halal food, modest fashion, Muslim family life and parenting, Islamic finance, and Muslim travel.
    • A website that is halal but not aimed at Muslims does not qualify, even if a Muslim runs it. A general technology, gaming, education or news website is not accepted unless its content is written for Muslim readers.
    • The category you choose must describe the website honestly. Advertisers target by category.

    2.2 Halal and family-friendly

    • No alcohol, gambling, adult content, riba-based finance, or misleading material
    • Suitable for all ages
    • Neutral or positive toward Islamic teachings
    • No hate speech, extremism, or violence

    2.3 A real, well-made website

    • Its own domain. Websites on free subdomains (such as blogspot.com, wordpress.com, github.io or vercel.app) are not accepted. Building on Blogger, WordPress or a similar platform is fine if you connect your own domain to it.
    • Original content written for people. Not mass-produced with AI, copied, or rewritten from other websites, and not made mainly to carry ads.
    • Enough of it. At least 15 substantial articles or pages, or a genuinely useful tool or service.
    • Active. Updated within the last 90 days.
    • Clearly owned. An About page and a way for readers to contact you.
    • Easy to use. A clean, readable design that works on phones, where ads never outweigh the content.
    • Real visitors. No bought, exchanged or incentivised traffic.

    2.4 How we decide

    • Every website is reviewed by a person at HalalSpark, not only by automated checks.
    • Meeting every point above does not guarantee approval. We judge whether the website is one our advertisers would be glad to appear on.
    • HalalSpark may reject a website, or remove an approved one, that does not meet these standards.

    3. Website Verification

    Application Process

    • Publishers must submit their URL, description, and category during signup
    • Manual review within 24–72 hours
    • Verification includes content and technical checks
    • Additional documentation may be requested for verification or payout purposes

    Ongoing Compliance

    • Sites are periodically re-reviewed to ensure continued compliance
    • Any approved site may be re-reviewed at any time, including against standards that changed after it was approved
    • Publishers must inform HalalSpark of major content or ownership changes
    • Failure to maintain standards may result in suspension or termination

    4. Ad Placement Requirements

    Technical Implementation

    • Publishers must correctly install HalalSpark ad scripts
    • Ads must not interfere with page usability or navigation
    • Responsive design for desktop and mobile
    • Ad code must not be altered or tampered with

    Placement Guidelines

    • Ads must be clearly distinguishable from content
    • No misleading placements designed to generate accidental clicks
    • Follow "above/below the fold" best practices
    • Respect ad spacing and density limits

Your own images in ad spaces

If you choose to show your own images in HalalSpark ad spaces when there's no paid ad, those images and the pages they link to must meet the same website standards as your website (section 2). HalalSpark doesn't count clicks on them and they don't earn anything.

    5. Earnings & Revenue Sharing

    Revenue Model

    • Publishers earn from legitimate, viewability-confirmed impressions of paid advertiser ads
    • Payout rate: the published rate per 1,000 paid impressions for the country of each visitor, listed on the pricing page and explained in How much you'll earn. These rates apply from 21 October 2026; until then the rate is £2.40 per 1,000 impressions, the same for every country. This is not a percentage revenue share.
    • When no advertiser currently has a paid ad to show on your site, HalalSpark may display one of its own unpaid "house ads" (e.g. promoting HalalSpark itself) in that slot rather than leaving it blank. House ads do not generate revenue, since no advertiser is paying for that impression — this is not a fee or deduction, there is simply no ad spend behind it to share. Your dashboard distinguishes these from paid impressions.
    • Real-time dashboard shows impressions, CTR, and earnings
    • No payment for invalid or fraudulent traffic

    Performance Metrics

    • Transparent metrics include CTR, RPM, geographic data
    • Historical data available for optimisation

    6. Payment Terms

    Payout Schedule

    • Monthly payouts begin processing on the 1st of each month
    • Stripe payouts are fully automatic and usually complete by around midday UTC on the 1st
    • Wise payouts are queued automatically on the 1st, then sent by our team by hand — usually within the first week of the month
    • Bank transfer payouts are queued the same way but take the longest to arrive, since they're sent manually and the transfer itself may route via SWIFT
    • Minimum payout threshold: £10
    • Earnings below threshold roll over to next month
    • First payout may be delayed pending verification

    Payment Processing

    • HalalSpark pays publishers via Stripe, Wise, or a direct bank transfer — chosen automatically based on the country you select during payout setup. You do not pick a provider directly, and provider assignment is not open to override: it is determined by a verified, compliance-reviewed list of country-to-provider routes.
    • If your country is not currently on that list, payouts are not yet available to you — contact [email protected] and we will let you know if or when it is added.
    • Stripe (the UK, EU/EEA, US, Canada, Switzerland, Iceland and Liechtenstein): fully automatic bank transfer via Stripe Connect, one-time onboarding.
    • Wise (Pakistan, Nigeria, Turkey, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Morocco, UAE, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Philippines): you complete a short recipient form in your dashboard with your bank details and preferred currency; HalalSpark sends payment directly via Wise's transfer API each month — no separate email link to claim.
    • Bank transfer (Bangladesh and Senegal): you complete a bank account form in your dashboard, the same way as Wise; HalalSpark's team sends the transfer by hand each month — the slowest of the three routes to arrive.
    • No HalalSpark fee on any route — you receive your full balance. Wise's own transfer fee still applies, charged directly by the provider, out of HalalSpark's hands.
    • Payouts go to the verified bank account or Wise recipient on file for your provider
    • Email confirmation sent for each payout

    Provider Fees

    • Stripe: no fee in most markets. US and Canada publishers may see Stripe's own small cross-border fee (~0.25%), disclosed on the payout.
    • Wise: the only deduction is Wise's own transfer fee, typically under £1 (higher in some cases, e.g. a non-local-currency bank account). Your dashboard shows the exact amount sent, Wise's fee, the amount received, and the exchange rate for every payout.
    • Bank transfer: no HalalSpark fee. As a real international wire, an intermediary or receiving bank may still deduct its own fee along the way — this is outside HalalSpark's visibility or control.

    7. Data Retention & Disputes

    • Earnings records retained 30 days after calculation
    • Disputes must be raised within 30 days of payout date via [email protected]
    • After 30 days, records are deleted for privacy and compliance
    • HalalSpark will review disputes fairly and respond within 10 business days

    8. Tax Responsibilities

    • Publishers are responsible for declaring income and paying taxes as required in their jurisdiction
    • Annual earnings summaries are provided for self-assessment
    • International publishers may be subject to withholding tax depending on location

    9. Prohibited Activities

    Strictly prohibited actions include:

    • Click fraud, impression inflation, or bot traffic
    • Incentivising users to click ads
    • Buying, exchanging or incentivising traffic to pages with HalalSpark ads
    • Modifying HalalSpark scripts or interfering with ad delivery
    • Running multiple publisher accounts per owner
    • Hosting prohibited or haram content

Violations may lead to permanent account closure and forfeiture of earnings from fraudulent activity.

    10. Account Management & Security

    • Publishers must keep login credentials secure
    • Two-factor authentication (2FA) recommended
    • Report unauthorised access immediately
    • Keep contact, payout, and tax details up to date

    11. Support & Communication

    • Support available Monday–Friday, 9 am–5 pm UK time via [email protected]
    • Policy updates and announcements sent via email or dashboard
    • Publishers receive advance notice of significant changes

    12. Content Monitoring & Termination

    Ongoing site checks ensure compliance.

    • If a website is removed, we email you the reason. Ads stop serving on it. Once it meets the standards in section 2, you can ask us to review it again.
    • Appeals can be made within 14 days to [email protected]

    HalalSpark may terminate accounts for:

    • Fraud or prohibited content
    • Repeated policy breaches

Your earnings if a website is removed

    • Earnings up to the day of removal count towards your balance.
    • If you still have other approved websites, your balance stays in your account as normal.
    • If you have no other approved websites and your balance is at least £5, we pay it at the next monthly payout, even though it is below the £10 minimum. Your payout details must be set up for us to pay you. If they are not set up within 60 days of the removal, the balance is forfeited.
    • If you have no other approved websites and your balance is under £5, it is forfeited when the website is removed.
    • Your account is not closed. You can ask us to review a removed website again once it meets the standards, or apply with another website.
    • Earnings from fraudulent or invalid traffic are not paid.

    13. Limitation of Liability

HalalSpark not liable for revenue fluctuations, demand changes, or downtime. Liability limited to valid, verified unpaid earnings at time of issue. Platform provided "as is," with no performance guarantee.

    14. Islamic Business Ethics

"Our ad network operates by the principles of Sidq (honesty), Amanah (trustworthiness), and Adl (fairness). We aim for every partnership to be mutually beneficial and spiritually sound."

    15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Governed by the laws of England & Wales.

Disputes resolved through negotiation, mediation, then courts (England & Wales). HalalSpark strives for amicable, just outcomes in line with Islamic ethics.
